Born From the Need to Be Seen

La Femme Lens was born out of both frustration and hope. We watched too many brilliant filmmakers pushed to the sidelines—not because they lacked talent, but because they lacked access, support, or visibility.

This collective began as a dream: to build a space where learning, collaboration, and care were the norm—not the exception.

We created productions fully led by women, femmes, and non-binary creatives. We hosted accessible workshops on lighting, pitching, and budgeting. We shared resources, opened doors, and made space for our members to explore new creative roles.

And just as importantly—we rested. We organized beach days, retreats, and wellness talks, because our bodies and minds matter too.
